5052 Aluminum Laser Cutting

5052 is the go-to aluminum for sheet metal work — it bends beautifully without cracking, shrugs off corrosion, and weighs a third of steel. If your part will be formed after cutting, 5052 is usually the right aluminum.

We cut aluminum with high-pressure nitrogen for a clean, burr-minimal edge. Aluminum reflects fiber laser light less than copper or brass, so edge quality stays consistent across our supported gauges.

If your part needs to be machined flat or tapped extensively rather than bent, look at 6061-T6 — it is stiffer and machines better, but does not form as well as 5052.
