316 Stainless Steel Laser Cutting

316 is the marine and chemical grade of stainless — its added molybdenum resists salt, chlorides, and harsh chemicals that would pit 304. Choose it when the environment is genuinely aggressive.

316 costs more than 304, so specify it where the environment demands it. For indoor or mild outdoor use, 304 usually performs identically at lower cost.
